- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the knowledge and skills necessary to acquiring the knowledge needed to solve problems in connection with the application of logistics systems.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction into the Theory of Constraints. The relationship of logistics and theory of constraints.
- 2. Theory of constraints in logistics, basic principles of the Theory of Constraints.
- 3. Importance of management processes, types of processes, procedures as a tool for achieving the goals.
- 4. Marketing by the theory of constraints with regard to logistics.
- 5. Corporate Finance in relation to logistics. Methods for assessing investments and profitability.
- 6. Information from the perspective of the theory of constraints. Business Information Systems, conflicts in information systems and their removal.
- 7. Distribution according to the Theory of Constraints.
- 8. Production from the perspective of the theory of constraints and logistics.
- 9. Production planning and management from the perspective of the theory of constraints.
- 10. Logistics technologies supporting the application of the theory of constraints, JIT, Kanban, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Production, etc.
- 11. Implementing the Theory of Constraints.
- 12. Theory of Constraints used in project management.
- 13. Case studies for the theory of constraints.

Seminary Work 30 % - Exam conditions
- For seminary work student can receive a maximum of 30 points ( with presentation). Instructions for seminary work determined at the beginning of the semester by the teacher.
A written examination may receive a maximum of 70 points. Total score represents the sum of points for the seminary work and written examination.
Grading Scale: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.
