Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the main concepts and principles of work psychology, including work assumptions on the part of employees and the influence of working conditions on its outcome and quality. The main topics of the course include individual performance assumptions of employees, their differences and uses, typology of employees and their assumptions, typology of managerial management styles and their impact on work results, principles of situational management, motivational behavior of leaders, principles of leadership and coaching, the most common psychological barriers to performance. on the part of employees and the organization and prevention of personnel psychological risks in the workplace.
Learning outcomes
The graduate:
- understands the main types of performance assumptions of employees, their importance, opportunities for development and practical use, understands the personality traits and attitudes of employees and their relationship to performance,
- understands the individual motivation of employees and its types and understands the motivational tools of the manager, understands the importance of emotional intelligence and its use in work and management,
- understands the differences and importance of management styles and situation management, understands the principles of leadership, knows the principles and tools of coaching,
- can resolve conflicts in the workplace, identify problematic tendencies of employees and managers,
- manages the prevention and solution of undesirable actions of employees, manages the prevention of personnel risks of the organization.

Final grading:

Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points under the following conditions: Mid-term grading: maximum 30% (0-30 points). Final grading: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Classification: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 – 0.

The students of the full-time form of study are obliged to fulfill the 70% attendance at the seminars. If the attendance is not met, the students will be automatically classified with the grade "-".

The students of the full-time form of study are obliged to fulfill the 70% attendance at the seminars. If the attendance is not met, the students will be automatically classified with the grade "-". Students with an individual study plan will take only a 100-point final test in the exam period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account. (In case of any questions, the student can contact the teacher via email: klementova@mail.vstecb.cz).
