- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is a general overview of measuring diagnostic methods, diagnostic signals, especially measuring methods in the field of acoustics. Emphasis is also placed on the most common current applications of technical practice.
- Learning outcomes
- The student has an overview of measuring diagnostic methods in the field of acoustics.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction. 2. Selected diagnostic methods: visual methods, capillary methods. 3. Selected diagnostic methods: magnetic methods, electromagnetic methods, infrared defectoscopy. 4. Analysis and processing of diagnostic signals: signals and their distribution, integral transformations. 5. autocorrelation, cross-correlation, spectral analysis. 6. Interpretation of diagnostic signals, application examples from technical practice. 7. Vibration diagnostics: laser and acoustic vibrometers, frequency analysis of vibrodiagnostic signal. 8. Vibration diagnostics: application examples from technical practice. 9. Noise diagnostics: wave and shock interference, microphone. 10. Noise diagnostics: sound level meter, application examples from technical practice. 11. Acoustic emission: discontinuous (impulse) acoustic emission and continuous acoustic emission. 12. Acoustic emission: application examples from technical practice. 13. Ultrasonic defectoscopy: ultrasonic probes, testing methods and application examples from technical practice.
