Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The student will learn to use managerial tools in the preparation and implementation of various types of innovations, which are the main source for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the company. The graduate of the subject will understand the issue of innovative corporate strategies and the importance of intellectual property protection, the issue of implementation and commercialization of the findings of scientific research and innovation activities.
Learning outcomes
Upon graduation of the course, students will be able to:
1. understand the role of scientific research and development activities in a company,
2. understand the role of knowledge capital of an enterprise,
3. develop criteria for evaluating innovation projects,
4. manage scientific research and development activities in an operational managerial manner; understand the nature of strategic innovation decision making,
5. understand the basic tools for securing and protecting intellectual property.

Exam conditions
For successful completion of the course, it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the interim and final assessment under the conditions set out below. Students are required to write an innovative project on a chosen issue related to the subject annotation as part of the continuous assessment. A total of 70 points, i.e. 70 %, can be obtained in the final assessment. The overall classification of the course, i.e. points for the final evaluation (70 - 0) + points from the interim evaluation (30 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89,99 - 84, C 83,99 - 77, D 76,99 - 73, E 72,99 - 70, FX 69,99 - 30, F 29,99 - 0. A full-time student is required to meet the mandatory 70% attendance in contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures. If attendance is not met, the student will automatically be graded "F".

Participation in all forms of teaching is dealt with in a separate internal standard of the VŠTE (Evidence of student attendance at the VŠTE). Students with an individual study plan (ISP) will take only a 100-point final test in the examination period from the subject Innovation Management. Students are obliged to contact the teacher (email: vanickova@mail.vstecb.cz) of the subject Innovation Management immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP). If the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account. Students of the combined form of study (study of the job) of the subject Innovation Management submit an innovation project to the submission room at IS ITBM no later than Fri 20. 05. 2022 to 23:59.
