Abstract

V originále

The aim of this paper is to familiarize the reader with the application of analytical methods on a specific example of waste management, including the design of a new Smart City concept and its implementation in a real environment. In the introductory part of the paper, the theoretical foundations in the field of waste management (reverse logistics) and selected concepts of smart cities, which are used for more efficient, flexible and, last but not least, more economical waste logistics management, are briefly described in the form of a literature search. Subsequently, the above-mentioned issues are applied in a real environment, when on the basis of a simplified SWOT analysis of the potential of smart waste management, possible Smart City solutions were proposed, including the possibility of their implementation in real operation. In the final part of the paper, a short evaluation of individual variants of the solution is then performed.
