Abstract
The article aims at comparing selected means of transport (diesel car, petrol car, bus and train) to determine the optimal vehicle for the passenger transport in a specific region by analysing the energy intensity and emissions of individual transport units. The fuel consumption per passenger on a particular traffic session is a decisive factor for the evaluation, involving the calculation of experimental measurings in a real transport situation. The results may also relate to other traffic sessions in the territory of Slovakia.
