The first step in the operational research into solving real decision-making problems is to recognize and define an emerging problem. In companies, investment decision-making is one of the most important tasks and is usually assigned to executives at various management levels. Such decisions include those on the acceptance or rejection of certain projects and, where the public sector is concerned, the application of the Public Procurement Act. The details of this Act were specified in a previous paper. This paper focuses on the use of operational research methods in logistics technologies, in particular to stationary traffic design. The presented problem is solved through the application of Queuing Theory. This method is used to determine the occupancy of a car park at a pre-selected location.
