The influence of the tool feed rate on the character of the resulting sample profile of wood-filled plastics was evaluated experimentally. Information on the character of the resultant profile was obtained by 3D optical measurements. Turning technology creates a significant trace (groove) on the surface of the material that is dependent on the feed rate, but also on the inaccuracies transferred to the result from the turning technology itself, as well as on the positioning of the sample on the profilometer table and inhomogeneity of material.
