This paper presents the practical solution of the transport telematics elements within the particular urban traffic operation. Roundabout helps to increase the fluency and safety of the traffic operation in the city and urban areas; however, the positive effect can be achieved only after determining the proper intersection parameters. In the most important part of the paper, the practical application of roundabout in the city of Pilsen is processed, based on the survey performed in the real city traffic situation

Článek se zabývá problematikou praktické aplikace prvků dopravní telematiky v městském dopravním provozu. Okružní křižovatka zvyšuje plynulost a bezpečnost dopravního provozu ve městě, avšak pozitivní efekt se dosáhne pouze při stanovení správných parametrů křižovatky. V článku je řešena i praktická aplikace okružní křižovatky ve městě Plzeň, která vychází z reálně provedeného průzkumu dopravní situace ve městě.
