Abstract
The aim of paper is determination of required and current level of competences of graduates in field of transport and logistics, who coming into the labor market in department of transport and logistics. The paper is based on results of research carried out in the Czech Republic. The research was done through a questionnaire survey during first half of 2016. Within the research, there were two groups of respondents. The first group was managers of Czech transport and logistics enterprises and second one was graduates of universities within field of transport and logistics. Based on the obtained data, the paper shows comparison required and assessment level of competences of university graduates in field of transport and logistics. The found gaps in this area create opportunities for the increasing quality within preparation university students in this department.
