Quantification and understanding of the nature of bearing capacity in fine-grained soils is one of the basic senses of a geotechnical survey. We can know the orientation suitability of the site for the foundation. This is possible based on the knowledge of the approximate bearing capacity of field surveys. We can also assume certain complications due to demanding building foundations. Approximate estimate of the percentage of each type classes of fine-grained soil is another reason to the knowledge an indicative bearing capacity.
