This paper contains a basic analysis of the impact on the economy of the Czech Republic of inbound tourism by citizens of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The first part of this paper identifies the basic indicators of this contribution of the Czech economy, for example, the number of people employed in tourism, or the benefits of tourism from the point of view of GDP between years 2007 and 2014. In addition, a comparison is made with other Central European countries, both is terms of total revenue and per capita, as well as with regards to the number of tourists coming to the country. The second part of this paper is focused on the tourists from the PRC, in particular the number of people coming to the Czech Republic, their destinations within the country, and their shopping behaviour.

V textu je provedena základní analýza příjezdového turistického ruchu občanů Čínské lidové republiky (ČLR) a jejich vliv na národní hospodářství České republiky. V prvé části textu jsou zpracovány základní ukazatele tohoto přínosu pro naši ekonomiku – např. počty zaměstnaných osob v cestovním ruchu nebo přínos cestovního ruchu z pohledu HDP v letech 2007 až 2014. Dále je v této části provedena i komparace s ostatními středoevropskými státy a to jak z hlediska příjmů celkových a přepočtených na obyvatele nebo počtu turistů přijíždějících do země. Druhá část textu je zaměřena na turisty z ČLR a vývoj jejich příjezdů do ČR a to jak z pohledu počtu osob, vybraných krajů ČR, tak i z pohledu jejich vývoje nákupního chování.
