Heslo v odborné encyklopedii o titulu kníže. Za knížata jsou obecně považovány hlavy státu v monarchiích. říšská knížata se dělila na světská a duchovní a vedle titulu „říšský kníže“, který vyjadřoval jejich ústavněprávní pozici, mohla disponovat dalšími tituly. Na území říše se setkáváme s vévody, markrabaty, lantkrabaty, falckrabími a hrabaty.

An entry in an expert encyclopedia about the Prince title. Princes are usually considered the heads of state in monarchies. Empire princes were split into secular and ecclesiastic princes; besides the title “Empire Prince” that expressed their constitutional position, they were allowed to hold other titles. On the Emprire’ area, we can find Dukes, Margraves, Landgraves, Electors of the Palatine, and Earls.
