Kapitola " Přímé zahraniční investice: zhodnocení aktuálního stavu, budoucího potenciálu a možností podpory" v odborné kolektivní monografii "Jihočeský kraj v globální ekonomice" ukázala, že aktivita zahraničních investorů v Jihočeském kraji je obecně na nižší úrovni než v ostatních regionech České republiky. Jako hlavní příčiny tohoto stavu autorky definovaly nedostatečnou dopravní a průmyslovou infrastrukturu, málo rozvinutou průmyslovou tradici a určité specifické rysy regionu, kterých lze využít spíše při rozvoji cestovního ruchu a dalších sektorů služeb než při rozvoji průmyslu. Pro výzkum byla využita data k regionálnímu členění toků přímých zahraničních investic a podrobnější údaje o projektech podpořených investičními pobídkami. Kromě jednoduchých poměrových ukazatelů byly ve vyhodnocení využity taktéž příklady z praxe a metody kvalitativní analýzy. V závěru jsou uvedeny obecné předpoklady a možnosti budoucího zapojení subjektů Jihočeského kraje do mezinárodního trhu kapitálu.

The chapter „Foreign direct investment: assessment of state, potential and support options“ of the expert collective monograph “The South Bohemian Region in Global Economy” showed that the activity of foreign investors in the South Bohemian region is generally lower than in the rest of the Czech Republic. The most significant causes were indentified in the field of infrastructure as well as in missing industrial traditions and in specific features of the region that support further development of tourism and other service sectors rather than the development of industry. Data regarding regional FDI movements and detailed information about the projects under the investment incentives scheme were evaluated using comparative criteria; to support the interpretation, practical examples and qualitative criteria and practical examples were also examined in brief. General assumptions and possibilities regarding the potential of future involvement of this region in the FDI flows are outlined in the conclusion.
