This paper deals with a survey of technically focused textbooks for students of mechanical engineering study programs at several technical universities in the Czech Republic. The aim is to conduct a survey of course materials specialized in mechanical engineering and their utilization by some well-known Czech technical universities and institutes. The paper also provides information about the study material intended for students of English for Mechanical Engineering I and II at the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice.

Tento příspěvek se zabývá průzkumem profesně zaměřeného anglického jazyka, konkrétně využívaných učebnic angličtiny pro studenty studijních programů a oborů Strojírenství na několika technických vysokých školách v České republice. Cílem je podat ucelený přehled využívaných učebnic angličtiny specializovaných na strojírenství na českých technických univerzitách a vysokoškolských institucích. Příspěvek navíc informuje o studijním materiálu pro studenty předmětu Angličtina pro strojírenství I a II na Vysoké škole technické a ekonomické v Českých Budějovicích.
