V článku sa opisujú vývojové tendencie postupného presadzovania kovových, resp. oceľových a hliníkových konštrukcií v stavebníctve. Následne sa predkladá všeobecná charakteristika kovových konštrukcií, s ilustračnými príkladmi. Uvádza sa konštrukčné členenie kovových konštrukcií a ich uplatnenie v stavbách rôzneho druhu a účelu. Uvádza sa aj výhody a nevýhody kovových konštrukcií s dôrazom na možnosti ich efektívneho praktického uplatňovania v stavebníctve, v konfrontácií s konštrukciami z iných materiálu.

V článku se popisují vývojové tendence postupného prosazovaní a uplatňovaní kovových, resp. ocelových a hliníkových konstrukcí v stavebnictví. Následně se předkládá všeobecná charakteristika kovových konstrukcí, s ilustračními příklady. Uvádí se konstrukční členění kovových konstrukcí a jich uplatnění v stavbách různého druhu a účelu. Uvádí se též výhody a nevýhody kovových konstrukcí s důrazem na možnosti jejich efektivního praktického uplatňovaní v stavebnictví, v konfrontacích s konstrukcemi z jiných materiálu.

The paper deals with utilization of metal structures in buildings. At the beginning the progressive tendency of graduated advocacy and using metal (steel and aluminium) structures in buildings. The common characteristics of the metal structures are introduced together with illustrated examples. The constructive structuring of metal structures and thussing in different is declare. The benefits and disadvantages of metal structures are presented within the paper with accent on possibilities of their effective utilization in buildings at confrontation with other materials.
