The result of market segmentation did specify the following requirements on a bicycle. The potential user should be a man, aged about 25 years, residing in the town, the use of bicycle should be for city driving, sports and relaxation purposes, accepted price range from 7000 to 15 000 Kč, part of a bicycle should be small storage space and standard features of bicycle should include fenders and lights. It follows that the purposed bicycle belongs to the category of hybrid bicycle which are not included in any defined category (MTB, trekking …) when we speak about frame construction and equipment, but it unifies the properties of all bicycle categories. The research team therefore narrowed the types of frames on hybrid bicycle frames based on defined requirements and from this activity emerged 14 hybrid frames that were ultimately put into final version of a complete model of bicycles. The result was financially supported by the contract research 004/2014/VŠTE/OVVTČ.
