Článek pojednává o vytváření profilu absolventa vysoké školy se zaměřením na VŠTE v Čes-kých Budějovicích. Analyzuje jednotlivé studijní obory na škole a jejich perspektivy do bu-doucna. Srovnává tyto perspektivy s potřebami praxe, které po absolventech požadují zaměst-navatelé. Kromě požadavků zaměstnavatelů na absolventy vysokých škol jsou zde také uve-deny nedostatky, které tito absolventi mají. Nedostatky jsou odstraňovány jednak zaučováním uchazečů o zaměstnání a také dalším studiem a rekvalifikacemi, které pro ně kromě vysokých škol organizují speciální organizace. Je zde též uvedena spojitost profilu absolventa s jeho kariérním růstem a finančním ohodnocením. V závěru jsou uvedena doporučení, která vyplý-vají z porovnání profilu absolventa a požadavků zaměstnavatelů. Tato doporučení by měla zlepšit vyhlídky absolventů na trhu práce.

The article deals with a creation of the profile of a graduate of the Institute of Technology and Business (VŠTE) in České Budějovice. It analyses the study programmes of the Institute and their future perspectives. It compares these perspectives with the needs of praxis (i. e. with the requirements of employers towards graduates). Besides the requirements of the employers towards the graduates, the deficiencies of graduates are mentioned as well. The deficiencies are eliminated by initial training of job applicants, further education and retraining organised not only by universities but also by special organisations. The interconnection of the student’s profile and his career and earnings is mentioned, too. At the end, the recommendations are listed – they come from the comparison of the graduate’s profile and the employers’ require-ments. These recommendations should increase the chances of graduates to be more employ-able.
