The aim of this article is to introduce the reader to the problems of engineering pedagogy. Engineering pedagogy is the borderline discipline that transforms knowledge of pedagogical and psychological theories in the field of technical sciences in order to improve teaching efficiency of education of engineers . The creation of engineering pedagogy is closely associated with the founding of the International Society for engineering pedagogy(Internationale Gesellschaft für Ingenieurpädagogik - IGIP abbreviation ) at the University for Science Education ( Universität für Bildungwissenschaften ) in 1972 in Klagenfurt. We also want to highlight the entry of VŠTE Budějovice in the Czech into this society and its inclusion among the seven colleges and universities that have the same curriculum standards as IGIP and may propose to the President of the Czech National Monitoring Committee granting the internationally recognized title ING - PAED IGIP to its graduates after meeting conditions of the grant .

Cílem příspěvku je uvést čtenáře do problematiky inženýrské pedagogiky. Inženýrská pedagogika je hraniční vědní disciplína, která transformuje poznatky pedagogické a psychologické teorie do oblasti technických věd za účelem zvýšení didaktické účinnosti výchovy inženýrů. Vznik inženýrské pedagogiky je úzce spojen se založením Mezinárodní společnosti pro inženýrskou pedagogiku (Internationale Gesellschaft für Ingenieurpädagogik - zkratka IGIP ) při Univerzitě pro vědy o vzdělávání ( Universität für Bildungwissenschaften ) v roce 1972 v Klagenfurtu. Zároveň chceme poukázat na vstup VŠTE České Budějovice do této společnosti a její zařazení se mezi sedm vysokých škol a univerzit, které mají učební osnovy shodné se standardy IGIP a mohou navrhovat prezidentce českého národního monitorovacího výboru udělování mezinárodně uznávaného titulu ING - PAED IGIP svým absolventům po splnění podmínek jeho udělení.
