The objective of the paper is to describe the three pillars concept of sustainability, which is a powerful tool to define it and to define various indicators that may have the impact on the sustainability development. These indicators can be defined as a measurable aspects of enviromental, economic or social system that are used for monitoring changes in system characteristics relevant to the continuation of human and enviromental well being. The paper presents specific approaches to the phenomenon of permanently sustainable development.
