První část následujícího příspěvku je věnována prvotní reflexi získaných zkušeností ze zavádění elektronického testování znalostí studentů na Katedře cizích jazyků na Vysoké škole technické a ekonomické. Jsou sumarizovány dosavadní výhody i nevýhody spojené s tímto krokem, přičemž celkově je zavedení tohoto druhu testování vnímáno katedrou velmi pozitivně. Druhá část potom sumarizuje zkušenosti z pretestování studentů, které je od zimního semestru akademického roku pro studeny povinné pro následné zapsání předmětu cizí jazyk. V závěrečné části příspěvku jsou analyzovány výsledky pretestu z předmětu Německý jazyk první.

The first part of the following contribution deals with the initial reflection on the experience from the implementation of the students' knowledge in electronic testing at the Department of Foreign Languages at the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice. The current advantages and disadvantages connected with this step have been summarised, while the implementation of this type of testing has been perceived by the Language Department as very positive. The second part summarizes the experiences of the students during the pre-testing phase, which is compulsory for their registration beginning in the winter semester of the 2012-2013 academic year for the courses of foreign languages. In the final part of this paper, the results of the German language pre-tests have been analyzed.
