This paper is focused on the problem of inflation and inflation perceptions in the euro area member states. Content of the first part is an introduction of the problem and some basic theoretical foundations. Next part deals with concrete data from the euro area member states, specifically with data on inflation and inflation perceptions. It is focused on their mutual correlation before and after the euro adoption. The analysis is than extended on the period between years 1999 an 2010. The final part than concludes and summarizes the analytical part of the paper.

Článek je zaměřen na problematiku inflace a inflačního vnímání v zemích eurozóny. První část obsahuje stručný teoretický úvod do problému. Další se pak zabývá konkrétními daty ze zemí eurozóny, konkrétně vývojem inflace a vnímané inflace. Předmětem zájmu je jejich vzájemná korelace před a po zavedení eura v hotovostní podobě. Analýza je dále rozšířena na období mezi lety 1999 a 2010. Závěrečná část shrnuje a uzavírá výsledky analýz obsažených v předchozí části práce.
