Abstract
Abstract (in English)
The purchasing power of Czech people is rapidly declining. Employers, especially in not-profit enterprises reduce their staff, wages are at best "frozen" even reduced, - in the public sector up to 10 percent. Taking into account that 17 % are employees of non-profit sector, the conclusion is that about 800 000 workers are officials, teachers (only young, beginning teachers got a rise), school staff, employees in the infrastructure (urban transport), the contributory organizations (technical services) in comparison with the previous year's lower income and thus lower purchasing power. If the Czech republic has approximately 4.7 million people able to work, from that 17 procent is staff from non-profit organizations it follows that approximately 800 000 clerks, teachers, technical-economic workers from schools and universities, workers in the infrastructure and workers from allowance organization have lower purchasing power in comparison with the last year. Prices of consumer goods, however, increased significantly, which is re ected not only in more spending on housing (gas, electricity), but also in the field of basic foodstuffs and fuel. In this introductory presentation, we focused on the analysis of consumer preferences for quality and price of purchased products.
