- Knowledge management is a process dealing with the knowledge of individuals / groups with similar interests or needs, as knowledge is understood as a knowledge or skill that is appropriate to share, develop and synergistically use with added value. We characterize knowledge and knowledge management within an organization as the effective management of knowledge across different types of processes, approaches and elements of the organizational structure. The main goal of knowledge management is to identify and capture specific knowledge, know-how, experience or other skills and to enable their transfer and representation so that it is available to a wider range of users / students who evaluate it at the right time in decision-making and management processes. quality, efficiency and productivity of work. Teaching Knowledge Management emphasizes the use of independence, critical and creative thinking in students in the context of their further professional development, including the application of innovation potential in the teaching process in order to implement in the business practice of the professional field.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student: 1. master the basic terminology of knowledge management and partial processes of implementation into business, 2. identify and grasp a specific knowledge, experience or skill and transform it into user practice, 3. master and apply in practice the principles, principles and perspectives of knowledge management, 4. prepare and present reports on acquired knowledge, experience and skills in decision-making and management processes, 5. synergistically use independence, creative and critical thinking and innovation potential in solving partial situations / problems in key processes of the business sector.

- To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve a total of at least 70% of the interim and final evaluation under the conditions set out below. In the continuous evaluation, 30 points can be obtained, ie 30%. A total of 70 points, ie 70%, can be obtained in the final evaluation. Overall classification of the course, ie points for the final evaluation (70 - 0) + points from the continuous evaluation (30 - 0): Z~100 - 70, X 69.99 - 30, N 29.99 - 0. The full-time student is obliged to meet the mandatory 70% attendance at contact classes, ie everything except lectures.

- Participation in the course in full-time and combined form of study is dealt with in a separate internal standard at VŠTE - Recording of student attendance at VŠTE. Students with an Individual Study Plan (ISP) will submit a presentation and a case study from the Knowledge Management course in the examination period. Students are obliged to contact the guarantor of the Knowledge Management course (email: chytilova@mail.vstecb.cz) immediately after the approval of the Individual Study Plan (ISP). If the student fails to do so, his/her ISP will not be taken into account.
