Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
The capacity limit for the course is 130 student(s).
Current registration and enrolment status: enrolled: 0/130, only registered: 0/130
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim is to acquaint students with the technology of concrete mixture and with the factors influencing its properties. Next aim is to explain the technology of concrete structures and reinforcement, quality control and testing methods. In addition, students learn to design simple concrete elements for the basic cases of stress and masonry structures. Students, after successful completion of the course, know the principles of design of concrete elements (concrete cover, reinforcement, reinforcement connection) and principles of design according to Eurococodu. They can design and evaluate the concrete truss structure to the basic types of stress (pressure, bending and shear). They are able to design and evaluate a simple brick structure. They can determine the composition of a concrete mixture and know technological processes of concrete, they are well informed about admixtures affecting the properties of concrete mixtures. Students know basic types of failures and theit causes. They can design the shape of a construction and a drawing of reinforcement.
