Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course it to prepare foreign students for the study at VŠTE and introduce them with the local campus. The students are acquainted with Czech culture, history and important aspects of the everyday life in the Czech Republic (travelling, shopping, offices, etc.) through practical and professional excursions. The students will learn basic formal Czech phrases in a natural way. Additionally, they will improve their socialization in the local environment during the events with VŠTE students.
Learning outcomes
After the completion of the course, the students master elementary courtesy phrases, know the elementary aspects of Czech everyday life, have basic knowledge of Czech culture and history. They would be ready to implement their Erasmus study at the local university.

Grading of the course: Consultation: maximum 30% (0-30 points), Presentation: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
