Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of building physics, technical equipment of buildings and low energy and passive houses.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course deepens students' knowledge of the problems of the energy assessment of buildings in terms of energy certification and energy audit. The content object based on the current legislation and the principles of the energy balance of the building, the heat losses and gains, including the incorporation of energy systems for heating, hot water heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, cooling and lighting. The course extends theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of energy performance of buildings with regard to technical equipment of buildings. The aim of the course is to teach students how to process a full range of building energy performance certificate (PENB) in accordance with the applicable legislation in the Czech Republic.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- identify and summarize important energy performance features of buildings;
- design a concept for the energy solution of the building;
- evaluate and assess the energy performance of the building.
