- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- Completion of the architectural concept of the selected building. Acquiring knowledge of structural design and engineering capabilities and solutions to technical problems. Development of skills in architectural design and construction of buildings in compliance with the relevant typological principles and design of building structures.
- Learning outcomes
- Student is able to:
- complete the chosen architectural solution;
- design a design and technical solution;
- draw up the project documentation according to the valid regulations. - Syllabus
- The atelier is the main and pivotal tool of complex teaching of building design and civil engineering. Learning is based on the "learning by doing" method, ie. the acquisition of knowledge and skills through practical applications. The atelier is led by the supervisor of the atelier and the consultants with the student over the project.
- Tasks are assigned and coordinated by the supervisor of the atelier. The project by type of assignment and specializations is consulted by the teachers of the VŠTE Department of Construction. The atelier project is demonstrated during presentations (criticism) and evaluated according to predetermined criteria.

During the processing, it is necessary to observe the partial deadlines set by the teacher! (Failure to meet the deadlines is a reason for awarding zero points).

A more specific specification of delivery conditions and deadlines is determined by the teacher at the beginning of the course. In case of failure to meet deadlines, the teacher is not obliged to accept the work for the assessment.

On the front side of the boards there will be a description field, on the reverse side the project content. An integral part of the work is an inventory sheet which the student is obliged to carry with him for each consultation and without which the work cannot be submitted. Consultations in the Registration List will not be retroactively recognized. Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the first lesson and at least 2 consultations during each semester from each profession, which will be registered in the Registration form. The teacher specifies more detailed specification of the conditions of submission, the content of the work, including its form and terms in the first lesson. If the deadlines are not met, the teacher is not obliged to accept the work for evaluation.

The project will be on a graphical level prescribed, completed and handed in sheets with laces, possibly in the form of an A3 booklet. On the front side of the boards will be the description field, on the reverse side the contents of the project.
An integral part of the work is a Record sheet, which the student is obliged to carry with him for each consultation and without which the work cannot be submitted. Consultations on the Record Sheet will not be recognized retroactively.
A more specific specification of delivery conditions and deadlines is determined by the teacher at the beginning of the course. In case of failure to meet deadlines, the teacher is not obliged to accept the work for the assessment.

- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subject in a semester.
