International Business Week 2020
dedicated to “Innovative Solutions
in Project Management” will be an
inspiring, practical and exciting
event with professional experience
in an international environment
and “real-life” business cases.
During this intensive week you will work on a case study with your project team and on your own, talk
with international guest speakers, and participate in a site visit to the Wrocław University of Science
and Technology where you have a chance to see the EMC lab and IC-Lab (VR/AR).
Innovative Solutions in Project Management
Our intention is to dive with you into managing projects, projects’ methodologies
and a practical application of design thinking 5 stages process (empathize, define,
ideate, prototype and test). This solution-based approach to solving problems will be linked to AR
(Augmented Reality) challenge and will equip you with tools to become an innovative thinker. Not
only will you play, have fun and learn “on the job” both the must-have and nice-to-have PM skills,
but you will also learn how to apply design thinking in your daily routine as a problem solving
approach. You will have a chance to visit the Wrocław University of Technology Campus and EMC
Lab (Electromagnetic Compatibility Chamber). The goal of EMC is the correct operation of different
equipment in a common electromagnetic environment. This site visit will be helpful in understanding
a growing demand for Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality services.

Daria has a broad experience in the ﬁeld of project management and educational
consulting. A former project manager at large multinationals, business trainer and ICF
Coach working for private and public sector (both business and academic). The owner
of Poland-based company s e l f m a k e r s that support clients via innovative initiatives
and trainings/coaching/facilitation in the ﬁeld of project team eﬃciency and leadership.
Daria gained her PM education in Poland and abroad. She was granted the AGI Goldratt
Institute Certiﬁcations in TOC (Theory of Constrains) and the IBM PM Fundamentals and
PM Orientation. Privately she is a great fun of design thinking mindset and believes that
PM can fun and practical in making our lives simpler.
Ms. Daria Lewandowska
MBA
Vice Director of the Center for Scientiﬁc and Technical Information. Head of the
Visualization and Virtual Prototyping and Interdisciplinarity and Creative Designing
Labs. Since 2006, the doctor of technical sciences in the ﬁeld of Mechanical Engineering.
He is a specialist in the design of machines and equipment, new technical solutions
and CAD numerical modeling using advanced numerical methods which is the Finite
Element Method. He is the author of about 120 scientiﬁc and research works including
national and international publications, and works for the industry related to the
design of machines and devices, strength calculations and optimization of machines
and especially innovative and creative design using innovative design methods, i.e.,
“Design Thinking” . He is a specialist in ﬁeld of commercialization and the establishment
of contact between business and science. He is a laureate of programme “Innovation
Brokers”, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education where he is a Broker of
Innovation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Wrocław University of Science
and technology.
He is a laureate of a prestigious scholarship program “Top 500 Innovators”, Stanford
University, California, USA. Member of the Board and a representative of the University
in the platform at the European Parliament “Knowledge 4 Innovation - K4I”. An author
of many implementations of innovative solutions into the industry.
