CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND RESOURCE EFFICIENCY 17-22 February 2019 Lahti, Finland Lahti University of Applied Sciences International Winter School 2019 WHAT IS OUR WINTER SCHOOL ABOUT? • Aimed for students interested in environmental issues with either a technological, a marketing or a business background, who are particularly interested in how to combine new thinking and concepts with the urban sustainability. • The main themes are CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND RESOURCE EFFICIENCY. • The one-week study programme consists of workshops, excursions and lectures. The social programme offers the opportunity to experience Finnish winter and culture with activities, such as sauna bathing and ice fishing. JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL GROUP IN WINTER FINLAND! • The group size will be about 50 students who come from 8-10 different countries. CREDITS • Assessment criteria: preliminary work in national teams, project work during the course in international teams, active participation in lectures, company visits and team work. • Completing the whole programme, preparatory work + presentation gives 5 ECTS. More detailed info about preparatory work will be sent to the participants after registration. EXPENSES & REGISTRATION • ACCOMMODATION FEE 295 € /student. • The fee includes accommodation at the hotel situated in the city center in double rooms, breakfasts + one dinner and transportation to the site visits. • Other meals and travel to and from Lahti will be arranged and covered by participants. • NOTE: Arrival day Saturday 16 Feb. Full programme starts on Sunday morning 17 Feb. Programme ends on Friday 22 Feb at 2 p.m. • Registration deadline 8th December 2018 • Registration and payment information will be sent to the local coordinators in October 2018.
