- The aim of the course is for the student to understand the contribution of ethical management and socially responsible business to increasing the value of the company. Accordingly, he is able to apply the principles of CSR and ethical management to all business areas and processes based on theoretical knowledge as well as knowledge of best practice and international reporting standards.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully completing the course, the student:
1. understands the principles of social responsibility in all business areas,
2. can apply the principles of economic, social, environmental, ethical, and philanthropic responsibility within business processes,
3. is aware of the contribution of ethical management and CSR and for increasing the value of the company,
4. knows the best practices for the application of CSR and ethical management in business practice, including methods of CSR reporting and evaluation,
5. controls the principles of creation and implementation of the code of ethics and other tools of ethical management. - Syllabus

- 1. The relationship between ethics and economics, business ethics and its development
- 2. Terms and concepts in relation to business ethics, sustainability and CSR
- 3. Definition, principles and benefits of CSR
- 4. Areas of CSR. Economic and social responsibility of companies

- 6. Creation and implementation of the CSR concept in the company

- 8. Ethical program of the company
- 9. Basic tools of the organization's ethical program

mid-term test – 18 points (i.e. 18 %)
analysis of a selected area in the company – 12 points (i.e. 12 %)
Final grading:
final test – 70 points (70 %)
Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points under the following conditions: Mid-term grading: maximum 30% (0-30 points). Final grading: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Classification: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 – 0.
The students of the full-time form of study are obliged to fulfill the 70% attendance at the seminars. If the attendance is not met, the students will be automatically classified with the grade "-".

- Participation in classes in all forms is dealt with by a separate VŠTE internal standard (Student Attendance Records at VŠTE). Monitored attendance at full-time lectures
Students with an individual study plan will take only a 100-point final test in the exam period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account.
