Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim is to present basic knowledge of building technical services and appliances in the area of water supply, waste water and gas distribution. After successful completion of the course students can apply knowledge of termilogy, technology in developing the project sewage, water and gas. The student is able to design these systems by using knowledge of water supply, waste water and gas facilities.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to use terminology and theory for practical water supply, sewage and gas distribution design. He will be able to apply the principles and knowledge for technical services design.
Syllabus
  • 1) Engineering nets - indoor technical services.
  • 2) Technical Equipment - typology and fittings.
  • 3) Necessity of water supply water objects, water connection.
  • 4) The internal water supply, water supply fire.
  • 5) Calculation of internal water mains.
  • 6) Hot water - parameters, tank heating, heat flow.
  • 7) Waste water outside drains, sewer connections.
  • 8) The internal drains, underground drainage, sewer fittings, overdraft effluent drainage of paved surfaces.
  • 9) Protection of sewage from unwanted substances.
  • 10) Design of sewer pipes, wastewater disposal.
  • 11) Natural gas - distribution, compression, storage, connections, gas pressure regulators, gas meters.
  • 12) Domestic gas, appliances - connecting, placement and operation.
  • 13) Calculation of household gas, flue gas from gas appliances.

During the semester, the student will prepare a semester work: the project of internal sewerage, the project of internal water supply and the project of internal gas distribution. A maximum of 30 points can be obtained for this project. Projects must be submitted in the credit week. Attendance at classes in all forms is governed by a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance is required for contact classes, ie everything except lectures.
