The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim is to provide students foundation basic issue of Construction Technology. The student is able to design and apply the various processes of excavation, rough substructure and rough superstructure. S/he can evaluate their readiness before implementation, control of technological processes of individual principles of building processes, their sequence and continuity, quality requirements, safety and environmental protection in the course of their implementation.
Learning outcomes
The graduate is able to set up a simple schedule of construction work, prepare the concept of site equipment and can design simple technological regulations.
Syllabus
  • 1) Introduction to the ConstructionTechnology Science, analysis of construction processes.
  • 2) Processes of earthworks, disintegration processes of building structures and demolitions.
  • 3) Principles of foundation construction, - insulation against water and moisture.
  • 4) Foundations – the processes of reinforcement and concreting of reinforced structures.
  • 5) Substructure .
  • 6) Superstructure construction - masonry technology processes and cladding.
  • 7) Superstructure construction - top production processes and assembly of wooden structures, scaffolding.
  • 8) Roofing - roof cladding and plumbing works.
  • 9) Building machines – technology of earthworks.
  • 10) Building machines – basic characteristics.
  • 11) Building machines – materials transport.
  • 12) Technology of highways and freeways structures.
  • 13) Summary, connections, reserve.
