Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The subject's objective is to encourage the students to assess the function of panel systems, and to be able to assess and identify panel defects, and their consequence for the static function, as well as to assess the change of the fire hazardous rooms of panel houses in relation to current fire safety regulations. Futhermore, to encourage the students to desing the individual draft solutions of the identified defects , and to restore the original static function with the safe use of the panel building.
Learning outcomes
Graduate of the subject: can identify and evaluate panel faults and their influence on static function, can assess the change of fire-hazardous areas of panel houses in relation to valid fire regulations, is able to independently design individual solutions of detected faults and to bring the panel house into the original static function and safe use.

  • ­The design features of panel system Change the requirements for fire safety - non spreading of flame through instalation shaft and on facade area Defects and reconstruction of flat roofs Defects and remediation of panel contacts, the effect of corrosion failure Interventions in the construction of interior walls The effects of insulation cladding and the heating system on indoor climate Defects of ceiling and floor structures Reconstruction of flat cores Defects of stair construction, reconstruction lifts, influence the dynamics of the construction Reconstruction and rehabilitation of cladding The thermal protection of buildings Reconstruction of foundations, sub-base coating and technical floor Assembling, manufacturing and design defects

Seminar work: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points. Possibility to repeat the test: 69,99 – 30, not fulfilled 29,99 – 0.
