Course objectives supported by learning outcomes

The goal of professional practice is to consolidate and apply knowledge from professional subjects and acquire practical habits and skills needed for the performance of the chosen profession. The goal of professional practice is also the necessary fulfillment of learning outcomes.

Learning outcomes

General learning outcomes valid for all programs of the Institute of Technology: - use general managerial and communication knowledge and skills, including teamwork; - search, sort and interpret information, including foreign language sources; - make independent decisions and solve common work and non-work problems and choose the optimal solution option; - express themselves in written and oral form in various work situations; - work with a personal computer, with its basic and application software and other resources, and effectively use adequate sources of information; - independently acquire additional professional knowledge, skills and abilities, both on the basis of practice and by self-study of the theoretical knowledge of the program; - act according to the principles of critical technical thinking; - take on different team roles and participate in expert discussion when formulating conclusions, present the results of your work and defend them in front of an audience. Exam conditions

At the end of the internship, the student prepares learning outcomes corresponding to the requirements of the guarantee workplace. It is about: - work diary confirmed by the supervisor with the company's stamp and the student's signature, - a completed report on the completed internship together with the stamp of the company and the trainer's signature, - assessment of practice by the student, - creating a final report, - presentation and defense of practice results at the guarantee workplace according to the requirements set out in the course annotation. The internship is evaluated on the basis of a form (protocol), including a job description, a work diary and on the basis of the above submitted materials. The student must best fulfill all the required learning outcomes, required as part of completing the semester internship. The presentation and defense of the final report on completion of professional practice will be oral. The guarantor of the program appoints at least a three-member panel that will assess the fulfillment of the learning outcomes of the student's given internship. Only on the basis of a successful defense will the student receive credit for the subject Professional practice. In the event that the student is not able to fulfill all the set learning outcomes during the internship, the guarantee workplace, or the department, in cooperation with the guarantor of the Professional Practice subject, will ensure subsequent additions so that the required outputs are fulfilled in accordance with the study plan and the profile of the graduate of the study program.

Teacher's information

Acceptance of applications for registration for practice is possible from 4/3/2024 - 2/6/2024. Applications for confirmation of practice (based on previous work experience) may only be submitted in the period from 4/3/2024 - 28 . 4. 2024.

Requests to the Office of Practice Confirmation and Requests for Approval of Own Firm are not processed between July 1 and August 31.

After selecting a contractual partner (the company where the internship will be carried out), the student contacts the partner and ensures that the Protocol of Acceptance of Internship is completed and signed by the responsible representative of the contractual partner, the supervisor and the student. The protocol is stored in the PRAXE application in the task sets. The completed and signed protocol will be submitted electronically by the student in PRAXE within 15 working days of the approval of the placement with the contractual partner. Without this protocol, the student cannot start the internship.

The student cannot take the internship without creating and submitting the Final Report. The student will be contacted and informed by the placement officer regarding the details of the submission of the Final Report.

Once the practice account has acquired the required value, the student is obliged to upload all necessary documents to the IS - PRAXE - Task Sets application within 15 days:

a confirmed work diary (confirmation means confirmation of the accuracy of the information given in the work diary by the signature of the supervisor together with the stamp of the company/institution and the signature of the student),

a certified internship record (confirmation means the completion of the internship record together with the stamp of the company/institution and the signature of the supervisor),

evidence of evaluation of the internship by the student,

completion of the work experience record in IS → Work experience record is completed in IS under Student → During studies → Work experience record),

successfully defending the Final Report of the Professional Practice course before the committee,

in the event of failure to meet all learning outcomes, the specific issue will be completed by e-learning.
