Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of transport logistics and the position of transport in logistics chains. Students will learn the basic transport legislation, characteristics of transport infrastructure, providers of transport and transportation services. The graduate of the course will be able to orientate in the market of transport and transport services, will be able to propose basic parameters of transport chains, propose a suitable mode of transport, suitable means of transport, as well as design a system of transport services in the sense of logistic approaches.
Learning outcomes
The student can describe the basic concepts and approaches used in logistics, describe the problems associated with transport costs, performance measure in the transportation, international aspects of transport, the main activities in the field of transportation for shippers and carriers, classify traffic management and identify key technologies and the importance of information.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
