Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
he output student's knowledge, after the successful completion of NJP_2 course, corresponts to the level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The student is able to: - understand the main thoughts of the clear, standard input information concerning common topics (met at school, work, free time, etc.) - maintain most communication situations that can happen during travelling in English-speaking countries - write a short, simple coherent text on a close topic, or topics of his/her interests - can describe his/her experience, dreams and targets and can briefly explain his/her opinions and plans. The student's oral (or written) communication can contain some stylistical, lexical or grammatical inaccuracies. However, these inaccuracies do not hinder the understanding. Then, the student is able to implement a presentation on a given topic.
Learning outcomes
The students - are able to communicate with a native speaker both verbally and in writing on the common and familiar topics - are able to understand and react in most situations of everyday life - are able to describe their experience, hopes, dreams and aims - are able to briefly explain and reason their opinions and plans - have a command of a vocabulary corresponding to the required level of language

Semester test 30 points (30 % = 25 points for speaking exam, 5 points for written exam during the semester) - full-time students 30 %
on-line on IS VSTE through "ROPOT" - daily study programme 70 %
on-line on IS VSTE through "ROPOT" - combined study programme 100 %
Exam conditions
Full-time form of study:

Grading of the course both for full-time students: an exam during the semester, written test in the examination period. Successful graduates of the course have to get at least 70 points (from both parts together).

Continuous evaluation:

Semester test 30 % (25 % speaking exam, 5 % written test)

Final test:

Final test using ROPOT in the IS (70 %)

Combined form of study:

Grading of the course both for part-time students: written test in the examination period. Successful graduates of the course have to get at least 70 points.

Final test:

Final test using ROPOT in the IS (100 %)

Lessons will be online via MS Teams in accordance with the schedule.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subject in a semester.
