Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce the students with the graphical program AutoCAD for 2D drawings and teach them to use the program. After the successful completion of the course, the student is able to set the input parameters of the drawing; can use various drawing tools and command and control functions; masters drawing and modification of objects, hatching and dimensioning; applies text notes and tables; is able to print the drawings from the model space.
Syllabus
  • 1.AutoCAD environment, configuration and basic setting, coodrinate systems, work with layers
  • 2.Types of lines and line scales
  • 3.Dimensioning
  • 4.Hatching
  • 5.Entering of commands using pull-down menu, toolbar, or command line
  • 6.Creating of simple drawing objects (point, line, circle, etc.)
  • 7.Creation of complex drawing objects (construction orders, the field of reflection, etc.)
  • 8.Editing elements of drawing (additional adjustments - cropping,extending, curvature, layout, etc.)
  • 9.Creating and inserting blocks
  • 10.Creating and editing text
  • 11. Creating and editing tables
  • 12.Individual work
  • 13.The basic print settings and printing files

Exam conditions
This is an elaboration of the construction drawing. The scope of work, proper use of levels, lines, dimensions and hatches is assessed. Score corresponds to the procentage ratio of these evaluation methods. Term project can reach the maximum of 70 points, test maximum of 30 points. The student needs at least 70 points to pass the course.
