Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquire practical skills in the use of modern information and communication technologies to the extent appropriate to advanced users. The focus is on the Microsoft Office office suite and the use of business information systems with a focus on the HR agenda.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student: - uses basic concepts in the field of informatics and explains the interrelationships between concepts in the field of informatics, - applies basic functions in the MS Office office suite, - can apply basic functions in programming languages, - can apply basic queries in a SQL database environment, - has basic knowledge and skills for using business information systems.
Syllabus
  • Lectures: 1) Informatics - Information technology, data, information, system, management and processes. 2) Portfolio, infrastructure and functionality of applications. 3) Office software - advanced level of MS Excel and MS Word. 4) Introduction to programming and database languages. 5) Program and database languages. 6) Transaction applications - functionality of ERP products. 7) Applications for decision support and external relations management. 8) Applications aimed at supporting labor productivity. 9) Management of IT operations in the company. 10) Management of IT business processes. 11) Application life cycle. 12) Security in informatics. 13) Industry 4.0. Seminars: 1) Working with text - basic functions of MS Word. 2) Working with text - advanced functions of MS Word. 3) Presentation techniques - advanced MS Powerpoint functions. 4) Working with spreadsheets I. - MS Excel, basic level, equations, working with graphs, formatting, text, logical functions and date and time. 5) Working with spreadsheets II. - MS Excel, advanced level, contingency tables, mathematical and statistical. 6) Working with spreadsheets III. - MS Excel, advanced level, search, database. 7) Basics of programming - program and programming languages, basic algorithms and writing code in PHP. 8) Working with databases - data and databases, basic SQL queries on the example of MySQLi, basic queries in the program code environment in PHP. 9) Programming - a simple application in PHP. 10) Applications for economists I - use of cloud services Google Apps, Office 365. 11) Applications for economists II - use of ERP systems. 12) Applications for economists III - use of registration tools. 13) Applications for economists IV - evaluation and planning of employees.

To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve a total of at least 70% of the interim and final evaluation under the conditions set out below. In the continuous evaluation, 30 points can be obtained, ie 30%. In the final evaluation, a total of 70 points can be obtained, ie 70%. Overall classification of the course, ie points for the final evaluation (70 - 0) + points from the continuous evaluation (30 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89,99 - 84, C 83,99 - 77, D 76,99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0. The student of the full-time form of study is obliged to fulfill the obligatory 70% attendance at the contact teaching, ie everything except lectures.
